Hi Stefan3D,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, let me help you on this matter.

I just checked this information and ran the utility on one of our demo computers. This will identify if the processor integrates onboard video and provide the results, this is even if the onboard graphics solution has been disabled at BIOS level.

Re: Which Z370 motherboard manufacturer references are compliant with Linux, please?

No I change my mind I switch to Windows 10 and no longer in Linux because of this Wikipedia article on Windows 10: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10#Windows_Subsystem_for_Linux_(WSL)

Thanks anyway to those who tried to help me ...

I do not take the cabbage anymore! Now I have more than the embarrassment of the choice of the motherboard ... Frankly "what a galley" and even "which *s_h_i_t*" vulgarly speaking to choose its operating system!

Since version 14393, Windows 10 includes a new subsystem co-developed by Microsoft and Canonical, for the purpose of running Linux applications on Windows. This function, named Windows Subsystem for Linux or WSL, available in beta as of January 2017, was then activated via the control panel. It is since July 2017 installable from the Windows Store, with full support announcement of Microsoft. It provides Windows access to thousands of open source applications Ubuntu repositories and tools to modify, recompile and run (editors, interpreters, compilers, libraries, documentation ...). This system avoids having to reboot to go under Linux, an operation that has become even more restrictive since UEFI and the Secure Boot. Loss of performance and functionality through a virtual machine under Windows are also avoided.

The success of this option has significantly increased the number of Linux installations listed, although we do not know in September 2017 whether it is a trend or a novelty effect.

I would recommend exploring more optimizing the settings of the RealSense Camera.

It was very helpful that you sent an image. We can now reproduce this and show you what we see.

Here is with the D415 at ~47cm distance, with 1280x720 resolution, 30fps.

Here is the depth map, down-sampled by 3x in x-y.

And here is it with a small amount of post-processing. Using our post processing exponential running average with alpha=0.3 and delta=20, and edge-preserving filter with alpha=0.6 and delta=8.

Also here is with texture applied:

And if you use want to remove the IR pattern from the left RGB channel you can do that too by using a proper color correction matrix:

Please check out this link for more on how to optimize the camera for your usage.

Also I use the "High Density" depth preference for this capture.

Hello johnnydub,
Thank you for your response.
I totally understand your position, and re-installing your OS might not be the best solution based on the last updates that you provided.
I will wait for your order to arrive in order to wait for the outcome once that you test the new cables out.
Your case will remain open so please let us know the outcome just in case that we need to try something else if further assistance is needed.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Re: My Wifi connection constantly disconnects on Windows 10

Hi agian and thanks for the fast reply!

I just upgraded to the latest version and the issue persists.

How far away are you from your wireless router/access point?: I'm like 3 meters away from my router. This is the only device getting this problem, though my PS4 (for example) is like 7 meters away and it works just fine.

Do you experience disconnects if connecting to a different wireless network?: I can't test that since my network is the only one around my area.

Are you using the 2.4, or the 5 GHz band?: How can I check that?

Hi kanadean,

To protect against power cuts a UPS is needed. However the model in the link you provided outputs 12V and your NUC need 19V.

Also whenever a power cut happens you would want a UPS that gives a signal to your system so it can gracefully shut-down before the UPS batteries are drained.

Depending on how long you want your system to run on the UPS batteries there is a UPS calculator you can use.

UPS Selector - Select your protection needs

Hello Lado,
Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it.
Can you please try to boot the system up without RAM memory, just to see if the error code changes?
At this point, the most effective way to tell if the actual processor is defective or not will be by replacing it so you can test another unit on the board.
I strongly recommend you to check the processor's warranty status and start a claim if necessary through:
https://supporttickets.intel.com/warrantyinfo
As well I would like to remind you that you have 30 (from the moment of purchase) to approach  the original place of purchase so they can perform an expedite exchange.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Regards,
Diego S.

Hello rock-huang,

We understand that you're being given the option to eject your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 in the Safely Remove Hardware tray icon.

In order to investigate, we would like the following information:

1. Is this a factory installed wireless adapter, or an upgrade part?
2. Did this happen after updating to the latest drivers, or making changes to your system?
3. If you choose to eject the adapter, does it become disabled or stop being detected in Device Manager?
4. Are you experiencing any additional issues?
5. Please share a report generated using the Intel® System Support Utility.
    1. Download the latest Intel® SSU
    2. While connected to your WiFi network, run the scan for "everything."
    3. Save and name the report.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,
Carlos A.

Hello MrNeato,

Thank you for your response.
In this case, I was taking a look to the SSU that you attached to this thread and I noticed that the drivers installed  on your unit (graphic drivers) that control video and audio are not up to date since your current driver version is : 23.20.16.4901, which work along with the audio driver version: 10.24.00.3
The latest driver is version: 15.65.5.4982 and includes the new audio driver version: (10.24.00.6)
You can download the latest package that includes both updates here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27650/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-65-?product=98911
Please go ahead and give them a try and let us know the outcome.

I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
 Diego S.

NUC Samsung Handshake Issue. Solution Yet?

Hi,

Back in May last year I posted about a handshake issue between my Intel NUC7i3BNH and Samsung UA65KS8000 TV.  It seems I am one of many people that have experienced handshake issues between a NUC and a Samsung TV.

After repeated communications with Intel (which included friendly and promising replies) there was no fix and I ended up giving up.  Do you have a fix yet?  Are you trying to fix?  Do you care?

NUC (great product) + Bad Handshake = Unhappy NUC + Intel Not Fixing Unhappy NUC = Unhappy Customer

Genuinely hoping you have a fix.
