Of course as you know Intel has not fixed this problem (and probably never will).
However, there is a hardware solution. The Gefen HDMI Detective Plus is a very small box (2.6x1.7x1.2) costing $85 from Amazon and others which tricks the computer into thinking the TV/Receiver is always on. This has completely solved my problem and is working great.
The box basically uses a 5v adapter to record your TV/Receiver EDID data (I needed a short cable for this as my long cable did not produce working results). Then discard the power supply and connect the detective between your computer and your RV/Receiver. The computer thinks the TV is always on and thus no flashing moving windows or reconfigured audio problems.
Good Luck -- Bob
P.S. I never got reliable Blu-Ray playback with the ZOOM player, but I have switched to XBMC and now playback is working great!
