DQ77MK - HDD Devices on USB3 ports going off-line

I have 2 x DQ77MK based systems

Bios: MKQ7710H.86A.0049.2012.0724.1241 (latest)

They are both running Windows-7 Pro 64-Bit

They are both running Intel USB3 driver version 1.0.5.235 (latest)

They both have external USB3 HDD attached to them (Seagate ST3000DM in a Vantec NST-310S3 enclosure) which is used for Windows Backup.

During the file backup stage, there is no problem.

However, when starting the system image stage, the process hangs for a while, and then the drive goes off-line, disappearing from the available drives in the windows explorer, and causing the backup to fail. Same for both systems, and it makes no difference how the removal policy is set.

The same drives were previously used with DH67GD M/Boards and the Intel-provided Renesas USB3 Drivers, and there were no issues.

Anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions ?
