DanielD, such information is correct. Miracast* requires WDDM 1.3.
Intel® HD Graphics 2000/3000 only supports WDDM 1.2 at this time. This is the reason why you are given Intel® WiDi software 4.3.3 via update tool.

Additionally, some Intel® wireless adapters are supported in Windows* 8.1 but do not have a compatible driver yet; those adapters are using a Microsoft* driver for the moment and therefore they may or may not work with Miracast* method. It is recommended to wait for the compatible Intel® wireless drivers to be released for better functionality.
