Intel WiDi 3.5.40.0 unable to connect (Win 8)

Hi

After upgrading IGMA driver, PROset/Wireless and WiDi to the latest versions on Windows 8 I'm no any more able to use WiDi. When I try to connect to my adapter I receive an error message stating that it is unable to connect (I have this message in Russian, so can't provide an exact message string). Previously used the workaround for win8 CP (from Enabling Wireless Display (WiDi) on Windows 8 Consumer Preview | Intel® Developer Zone) which actually worked for me in RTM.

Already tried resetting my adapter and reinstalling both WiDi and PROset/Wireless. Checked firewall configuration, turned it temporarly off.

Some behaviors I noticed:

- TV adapter doesn't react on connection attempt

- DevicePairingWizard is started, but has its window hidden

- WiDiApp doesn't close handles after process enumeration (thus leading to over 2K open handles after only one device search and connection attempt)

- Before first WiDiApp start there are only "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter" and "Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter". After it starts there also appears "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2".

- At first installation of PROset/Wireless (I mean actually when I updated to the new version, however it seems to not change with a simple update procedure) those 3 virtual devices mentioned above had theirs locations been 5, 3 and 6 accordingly (at device manager). After complete reinstallation of the PROset/Wireless they've got 9, 8 and 10.

Here is my notebook configuration

Network card: Intel Centrino 6205

CPU: i7 - 2670QM

Integrated GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000

WiDi adapter: D-Link DHD-131

Seems like fallback to those beta drivers is still going to work, but is there any possible reason why I can't connect? For now I'll continue to try to capture more information on this.

Thanks
