Re: Intel HD 4000 No Display after loading Windows 7

OK so nice to see that many many people are having these driver problems, ot so nice to see that Intel seems to  be playing the "We can't see the problem" game.

Just put together a new system; ASUS B85M-G MB (nice board BTW, and great phone support, recommend !), INTEL 5 processor, SSD drive, Win 7 Pro,all works great, except the integrated Intel DVI port is not normally recognized once windows starts to boot. I down loaded the INTEL HD driver install exe from the INTEL site, ver 9.18.10.3165, and run it. When I run it, voila, the DVI port comes to life and I have a dual monitor system (DVI + VGA). But if I reboot, restart, sleep-awake, you name it, no joy, back to only a VGA system. Rerun the HD driver install, and DVI dual again ! But I have to run it everytime !!! Sucks big time. With the SSD the system boots in 20 sec, except I have to manually rerun the HD installer.

I have not yet tried to remove the INTEL HD driver completely, not sure if I can run dual with the "standard" drivers. I suspect Windoz will try and make me use the Intel driver.

Intel, we need a fix for this, or else we will all have to recommend to the world not to buy any MB with INTEL integrated graphics, and go get an NVIDIA or whatever. It is obviously a driver problem, across many platforms, MB's, monitors, cables, you name it. FIX THE DRIVER !!! please
