My computer is running Windows 8 and is a Sony "SVS151290X" which came with WIDI preinstalled on the computer. I have an i7-3623QM Processor and my graphics card is the Intel HD 4000, my Wireless card is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 card. I have all the latest drivers as recommended on the Intel website for this configuration. As an FYI, it worked for a day with the above problem (disconnects every time I change video input on the tv) but now WIDI has stopped connecting to the PTV3000 once again. I suspect that Netgear needs to release the correct firmware for this to work consistently with Windows 8, but even after they do, do you think the adaptor should disconnect when switching inputs on the TV?
